In 2011 I embarked upon the process of re-issuing my early fiction as ebooks. The goal is to make my back-catalogue available on digital platforms, particularly my hard-to-find short fiction. These ebooks will be available on Kindle and soon in other formats. Stay tuned, and thank you for reading.

Set in Auckland and sunny RotoVegas, Pack of Lies is the 2011 digital re-issue of the original 1993 novella, newly revised and available now on Kindle.

Rusty Blades is a collection of five early short stories. 'The Man at the Door', 'Two Friends', 'Geisha' and 'The Girl from Mars' were collected in Other Voices (Brick Row / Hallard Press, 1988). 'Rusty Blades' was published in Sport 5 (VUP, 1990). The narratives depict young people living in Auckland at the beginning of the city's boom decade. Their dialogues and the images of the city introduce themes that would be developed further in Pack of Lies and Heaven.

Huxley is a newly revised version of the original crime / detective short story that first appeared in The Mammoth Book of International Crime (Constable / Running Press, 2009). Huxley is an ex-cop turned debt collector in Auckland, New Zealand. The story may or may not be the first in a series. The Kindle edition is available here.

Here She Comes Now is a collection of three short stories. 'Here She Comes Now' (never before published) is a transcript from a modern household under surveillance. 'Close to You' (2001) is about the burning secret shared between siblings. 'DIN' (2005) splices moments from real and on-screen dramas in Los Angeles. The Kindle edition is available here.
